We should all learn a lesson from the people in Joplin Missouri. A tornado completely destroyed 80% of their town. When they showed footage of the aftermath, you saw no one holding up a sheet with the words "Help Us" written on it. All you saw was American flags flying in the wind, planted in piles of debris that was once someones house. The people of Joplin asked no one for help. They rolled up their sleeves and started clearing out the mess. The people down here in Louisiana no longer ask for help...they EXPECT it....they DEMAND it. I have always believed that the best way to help someone is to help them get a job so that they can help themselves.
